Lilac Breasted Roller
A rainbow of colors in a thorny bushes in Etosha National Game Park, Namibia, Africa. He stayed only for a few seconds, then was off looking for insects.

Seen in the open grasslands of Africa. This large bird of prey eats large insects, small mammals, and snakes. While he looks prehistoric to me, it was a good bird to have around.
