Proud to be Abenaki
My mother-in-law, as she danced in the circle to Native American music with her family on either side. She loved celebrating her Abenaki heritage. Though she had difficulty walking and was blind, her spirit soared when the rhythm of the drums and the singers voices become one with Mother Earth and Father Sky.
